    Excel Forum iPad - redirects

is anyone else having this problem?
I've had the Forum bookmarked on my iPad for quite a while and no problems accessing it until recently.
But starting last week when I click on the icon I get a note that says...
"Safari cannot open the page. The error was: Load cannot follow more than 20 redirections."

Apple service tells me it is the site and not my iPad. I have no problems accessing the site from my iMac or my work PC but (and I rarely use this) I am getting the same message on my iPhone 7.0.

I'd love to hear thoughts, AND especially a solution.

No problem here, but I saw this issue myself about two years ago. I can’t honestly remember how I resolved it, but it certainly involved ditching old bookmarks.

Just to show I do watch what gets posted. I dont use any apple products, so I have not seen this. But, keep me posted and if necessary, I will push this to the TT

Ali, thanks for that thought. I did delete the EF bookmark but now I can't access it in any way with the iPad. Oh well.
Still no access problems with iMac or PC.
I'll keep checking back with the iPad in case Ford's push to the TT helps.

No, it's nothing to do with the forum - it's a browser issue. Glad it's resolved. I've never seen it since.

Don't forget you are not bound to use Safari on the iPad - I have Chrome and Firefox installed on mine.

Re: Excel Forum iPad - redirects

Hmm, well Apple support said it wasn't an iPad / Safari issue, it was happening when I tried to access the forum.

For some reason I was having difficulty having the site open with me already signed in so each time it would open it would open as if I was a guest. And I did notice that when that happens there are popups. After whatever happened (I assumed it was a site change) I've been able to bookmark the site already logged in now.

Ali, I'll keep that in mind about the browser.

I doubt any changes where made to the forum (they just dont do that here, they have "better" things to waste their time on)
