    What Will Replace Access?

Is Microsoft going to replace Access with a cloud based database?...or are they just getting away from the database game altogether?

Who knows? Why not ask Microsoft? All you can possibly get from us is speculation.

Nowadays a lot of services are moving to cloud-based technologies and I think that Microsoft is among the first companies who will try to transfer everything to cloud databases and Access is among the first ones.

when compared to apple, this process is much slower for them. Although it is gaining momentum now

Also, I fail to see how moving anything to the cloud will cause the program to "die"?

I wish it would go away. It's responsible for more bad database design, and more deluded users who think they understand data, than anything else....

IMO unprofessional opinion, I believe companies need to maintain a local, along with a cloud based system. If the internet goes down, you are dead in the water and can longer access information.
