Some others are, yes - we have not yet got to the bottom of it.

Me too, for a couple of days now.
okay. Glad it's not just me. Hopefully will be resolved soon.
For what it's worth, I've seen no slowness recently.
Still seeing it. Must somehow correlate to geography. Anybody know where the servers are located?
I'm still seeing it too. Looking at the activity it seems to be related to the content delivery network request to notifyfox.com which takes over 20 seconds and fails:
Attachment 729802
A reason for the failure might be an expired domain?
Attachment 729804
Not sure what any of that has to do with the forum per se. Is something going on for you on other open tabs? Which browser are you using?
Probably something for the site developers.
Chrome Developer Tools has a Network view which shows you how long each source takes to load when navigating to a URL, in this case the Excel Forum site.
Looking at the results, the source which stood out as taking a very long time was the request to "https://cdn.notifyfox.com", which eventually failed.
NotifyFox seems to be some service to give personalised push notifications, but the domain "NotifyFox.com" has expired.
I thought this could explain why the request failed and also why it took a long time, due to it timing out.
Looking at webarchive, NotifyFox was active earlier this year, so this could explain why the slowness has only recently been noticed.
Yes, possibly, however unfortunately the tech team are hard to galvanise and won't do anything unless the problem is affecting all users. I'm afraid they aren't particularly helpful.
If this is a part of this site, whatever it is, would it not be affecting ALL of us?
That would seem logical, although I'm not sure if it's that straightforward. If this is a part of this site, whatever it is, would it not be affecting ALL of us?
I've tried blocking that source with the developer tools and the site loads in a couple of seconds, so for me that definitely seems to be the issue.
Appreciate the tech difficulties, but if it does start becoming a more widespread problem, then this might help them.
You have more faith in them than we do.
I think I figured it out. I also saw this fail, and blocking sped things up additionally
cdn-static.formisimo.com/tracking/js/tracking.js
I have pushed this to the TT, and will also add this extra info to see if it helps them
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
