    Happy New Ca!ll-in-the-Cavalry

Please could someone have a look at this thread for me. https://www.excelforum.com/excel-pro...ing-early.html

Note: I have added a blank header row to the data as the code starts at row 2.

To test, I am copying the Original Data to the Cleaned up Data sheet and repeating.

Basically, there are two simple loops. The last row is determined initially and equals 18. The first loop checks all the cells in the range A2:A18. The second loop SHOULD check all the cells tn the range C2:C18. However, it simply OMITS cell C3. The Debug shows cells C2, C4, C5, ... C18.

I have no idea why this is happening.

OP is using the 2010 version of Excel and would like to "lock columns that are automated" (see post #22).
    File is in post #19.

I feel like this thread is turning into a lookup table/lookup function kind of thing that I am just not equipped to address: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-gen...ml#post5640244 I don't know whether to focus on getting a different "pivot/lookup" table to make the lookup function easier, or whether there is a better way to search the data for the 2 parameters the OP wants to search.

    Can anyone help with this?

    https://www.excelforum.com/excel-gen...with-time.html

It's a time difference issue where the hours between 1800 and 0600 need to be ignored. I am sure there is a much simpler solution, and there are now extra requirements, so it has got away from me.

That certainly took longer than I thought it would (especially when even more extra requirements appeared), but got there in the end.

This is looking like a substantial project, and will probably venture into areas that I have no expertise in. I have asked the OP to focus on a specific part of the project to start, but if others can watch and contribute where they can: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-gen...j-program.html

Someone here is having trouble calling Solver from VBA. I suspect a Reference error, but cannot verify (either a bad sample file or something in the OP's file that is not compatible with my older version of Excel). Can anyone with 2019 verify my results? https://www.excelforum.com/excel-pro...ss-solver.html

My older version of Excel does not support data labels from cells. Can someone with 2013 or later look at this and see if you can understand what is happening with the OP's data labels.

The OP here (https://www.excelforum.com/excel-pro...rpolation.html ) wants to switch the current calculations (a double/bilinear interpolation) to a VBA UDF. Some of you will be better than me at this, so I'm requesting some back up on this one.

For those with the "newest" version of Excel, can you help explain the process of importing a text file here: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-gen...ml#post5681293 My old version (2007) has no trouble importing text files with different date formats using the old text import wizard, but I get the impression that the mechanics have changed dramatically in the newest version as Power Query gets more integrated into Excel.

This might be kind of a dumb question. I have a good idea how this moves forward, but I'm not sure if there would be a solid preference for putting the change event in the worksheet or have it be for the whole workbook: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-pro...n-formula.html

Re: Call in the Cavalry - 2022

Can someone who knows Power Query have a look at this please:

I suspect it is a simple change, I just wouldn't know what.

Anyone up for the challenge of reverse engineering this with a view to streamlining it?

Not thinking clearly enough today - any takers? I don't think he needs PQ for this.

Don't know if formatting the data the way the OP wants is doable or not, however I have run out of ideas: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-gen...ml#post5719983
I hope that you have a blessed day.

Re: Call in the Cavalry - 2022

Some unusual behavior by Excel in this one: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-gen...ml#post5727749 If I understand correctly, Excel is randomly clearing date formatting from cells when the OP performs some kind of refresh operation. I've requested more information from the OP, but I'm also hoping someone here may have ideas of when/why Excel would clear number formatting from cells (when not explicitly told to clear number formatting).

Can someone with Excel 2016 look at this and confirm the OP's complaint that his formulae are not working?

Has a call-in-the-cavalry-2023 been started yet? If so I cannot find a link. If not how/who starts one?

This one doesn't need to be a Sticky any more, then, does it?
