Interesting membership stat

I needed to check something, got sidetracked and discovered this....

We have almost 43 000 pages of members, at 30 per page...1 290 000 members.

Of those, over 36 000 pages of members have 1 or 0 posts to date...1 080 000 members

So we only have about 200 000 members who have 2 or more posts here

Interesting, huh?

Lots of bots out there ...

These all appeared to be Registered users, not banned users.

I suppose that many were folks that got here with Google or other search engine and signed up but never went any further after finding or not finding what they needed.

Only bots that spam get banned. There'll be shed loads that were unable to post their links.

And do we know how many posts have been issued by members with more than 1 post , or the average number of posts per thread ? ( just comparing with MrE data for the fun)

The only thing that matters (to me) is that members who go on to ask questions here get the help that they need. Any other stat is of no interest to me whatsoever: this is not a competition, and I have no interest in analysing our stats compared to Mr E, except to say that it feels as if EF and Mr E are the top two Excel forums, with Chandoo in third place. The rest that I frequent have exceptionally low footfall in comparison.
