I hope someone else out there can figure this one out. Maybe I am dense, but I have no idea what this OP is looking to do.

Re: Call in the Cavalry 2025

    Hi alansidman,

I compared the first and the second posted file and the difference would seem to be the presence of the summary/total line existing only in the second one.

Could this be what the requester would like to achieve?

Sorry, I asked the information directly to the user.

In this thread a code written by Teylyn is being used to place data labels inside the stacked columns.
Is there anyone that could look at the chart on the Teylyn's Chart sheet and see if you can modify the code used so that data labels look like those in the chart on the Custom Chart sheet.
Note that Both charts are produced from the copy of the pivot table in rows 19:29 on the Tables sheet.

Anyone want to tackle this macro task? The OP wants to automate entering sequential dates into non-sequential cells, without using a formula. https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...-in-order.html

The file posted by the OP in post No. 15 is working fine for me, but for the OP, it's throwing an error. Can anyone check and confirm whether this works fine for you, or if there is a bug causing this issue?

    Works without error for me..
I've put Debug point there and it takes me whenever I'm selecting sheet and then it run trough the end, so I assume it's fine.

    Some regional settings perhaps?
Does it have different name for ROW formula?

    What does that even do?

I'm afraid it can be very resource consuming for million rows =ROW()_ActiveRow Applies to =$1:$1048576

    Works fine for me too.

I don't understand what they're trying to do with this code, though.

Re: Call in the Cavalry 2025

I have tried it in 365, Windows 10 and 2010, Windows 8 (I think). It works on both on all sheets.

However, I can break it if I protect a sheet. Then I see the error, although the highlighted line is FC.Delete

It's creating a Named Range that refers to the Active Row. It then uses that in Conditional Formatting to highlight the row with the Active Cell in it.

This question probably belongs back in that thread, but why is it deleting the condition on sheet activation?

Because, if it doesn't, you get lots (and lots) of identical CF conditions/formulae.

Check out what happens if you do this:

    PHP Code:
Private Sub Workbook_SheetActivate(ByVal Sh As Object)

    'For Each FC In Sh.Cells.FormatConditions
    '
    If FC.Type xlExpression And (FC.Formula1 "=ROW()=" sNamedRanageThen
    '        FC.Delete
    '
    End If
    'Next FC

    With Sh.Cells
        .FormatConditions.Add Type:=xlExpression, Formula1:="=ROW()=" & sNamedRanage
        .FormatConditions(.FormatConditions.Count).Interior.Color = 65535
    End With

    AssignRowNumberToNamedRange

    End Sub

Agreed. But the questions were asked here. Maybe you could move the questions and answers to the thread?

Anyone care to take a look at this VBA question. I'm all out of ideas.

Looping through to change one cell's color based upon another cell's color.
