    Is Excelforum.com on FB?

I was just looking on the responses to PHD's homework for yesterday and noticed that he has a link to become a fan on FB. Does this forum have a FB page or group?

I'd like to get the word out to some people about how great this forum is without forcing anything on them. I figured if the forum was on FaceBook, I'd become a fan and let all my friends find out about it at their leisure.

Unfortunately if you don't have an account with FaceBook, you are SOL at accessing that information....

Yep, that's it ... safe to say I don't know anyone listed... it would perhaps make more sense on linkedin or equiv. ... not sure I'd want to be advertising that I'm an XL nerd on my social site.. the two are a tad contradictory

Nothing to be embarrassed about especially when being the "Excel Guy" at work means a fair amount of job security and descent wages....

RomperStomper - Spelling error aside.... Perhaps it wasn't the best choice of words. I should have said EXCELlent wages. It certainly beats carrying around a 40 lb. toolbelt for 8-16 hours a day. I've put my days as a Scaffold builder behind me, and traded that heavy *** toolbelt for a keyboard and twin monitors.

Unfortunately the sedentary occupation doesn't allow me to burn off the beer as well. LOL.

lol @ "descent wages", don't think mine can get any lower.

I'd like to think my Excel expertise is valuable, but I think my posts here might demonstrate inability rather than talent

More to the point, I'm fairly confident that time I spend here is more valuable to my job than expensive courses, but I don't fancy having to try to prove that to my boss!

I'm not an avid social media fan myself, but FB, Twitter and LinkedIn are as instrumental these days as is Google to promote a web site to your potential audience. There's even an acronym for these four giants of modern communication: "FaTLeG"

If your website can only be found through Google, then you're not reaching the younger part of the web's active users.

But then again, even more important to a successful site are uptime and speed, but that's being discussed elsewhere, I believe.
