Etiquette in the excel programming sub-forum?

Just have a quick question about the excel programming sub forum - is there a certain etiquette that needs to be followed? I always get help in the general sub-forum for every question I have posted, but I never seem to get any help in the programming sub-forum.

Im wondering if Im doing something wrong there.

That forum is for asking programming related questions... mainly VBA macros, but also Data Validation or Conditional Formatting or MSQuery questions can be asked threre....

Make sure your thread has good title, that you use code tags for posting code... If your question is too complex or long-winded, it may not be answered.. try asking in steps so that one can spend the time. Different questions should be posted in separate threads...

Maybe nobody knows the solution or there isn't one..

You can try bumping to see if someone spots it that can help.

You posted this morning, and then bumped your post three hours later. The people who assist here do so for free at their leisure. If you have an urgent problem, perhaps you should hire a consultant.

In your last thread in the Programming forum (http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...-each-row.html), you received three responses within 30 minutes and acknowledged none of them.

Prior to that (http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...in-format.html), you received a response an hour after posting, and did not acknowledge it.

Prior to that (http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...orksheets.html), you posted a response you received from another forum four hours after your inital post.

I try and use a good title and try and be as detailed as possible within my posts... which might be the issue. Sometimes its difficult to articulate a request without heaps of details.

But point taken about breaking things down and going through the request step by step. Ill give that a shot next time.

    Thanks for your response.

Absolutely agree and I didnt mean to come across as ungrateful because that definitely was not my intention.

Again, I really dont mean to sound like Im having a crack and/or critiscing and I apologise if it comes across that way. I genuinely believed that I was doing something wrong or not following the right etiquette.

Edit - I had actually forgotten about those threads and I have no idea why I didnt acknowledge them as I always thank and rep the guys who help me and mark the thread as solved. There may have been a chance that the macro idea could have been abandonned, but that still doesnt excuse my not acknowledging those who helped me out.

So I apologise and just want to reiterate that I was not critiscing anyone. I honestly believed I was doing somethign wrong when posting. Apologies if I came across rude.

If you have your profile set properly, you should be able to use the USER CP link at the top of the screen to go to your "most recently responded threads"...ones with new answers will list themselves at the top of your User CP. If you see none listed, you can click on View all subscribed threads to see all your subscriptions.
