I just booked my summer vacation and im heading to Thailand for 10 days and Vietnam for 7. It will be my first time in both places.

Oi oi -- i've been to Thailand.....
I went 2 years ago with 3 friends for a month, and what a month it was.
I loved Bangkok, it was wild, s e x y , dangerous, and very very hot (so hot that my fingers swelled up like bananas and I had to take my wedding ring off) with wonderful smells coming from the food stalls.
It is a bit sad at night though seeing all those young girls on the streets. It is unbelieveable how they try to grab hold of you, I have never seen anything like it in my life.
We stayed in Sukhumvit? Soi 15 the Manhatten Hotel. Great place, location......
If you go down south do visit the island of Similan - this is a MUST !! ITS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE ON EARTH! Even nicer that some of those islands off Brasil. Google Similan.
Koh Samui and Phuket were not my cup of tea although Koh Panghan however you spell it has a great resort called Coco Hut. Full moon party's an experience!!
