Question on Infractions

I am pretty new to the forum and have a question. Why is it that some infractions are yellow while others are red? Some show Infractions 1/0 (0) while others show 0/1 (1) ? Why is it that the time frame of these infractions varies? How do i post an infraction if i see that someone has violated the rules?

    Re: Question on Infractions

You cannot post an Infraction that is done by the Mods

    Yellow are warnings
    Red are infractions

    Hope that helps.

So is the number in brackets active warnings/infractions versus live ones? I have wondered this myself.

    Re: Question on Infractions

Infractions are ime limited so they are shown as live, I think 5 live ones means an automatic temporary ban. I didn't set them up so I'm not 100% sure, I don't think anyone has triggered a ban this way

<Family Guy>Boy, this is worse than the time I joined that forum for technophobes ...

Andrew-R: Hi, I'm new to the forum but can't see any posts - am I doing something wrong?

Andrew-R: Is somebody going to help me?

Andrew-R: Come on, guys, I just want to know how to see the posts here!

    Andrew-R: Hello?

    Andrew-R: Fine! Sc**w you lot!

    Re: Question on Infractions

I must say, this forum does have the most aggressive swear-filter I've ever come across. I mean, in one of my posts I couldn't r-i-p something, I can't refer to the Excel column between CC and CE, I can't call my friend Richard by the shortened version of his name and I'm pretty sure that if I wanted to join two bits of wood I'd have to use a nail, rather than some sort of similar device with a helical thread

Is that another infraction for dissing the swear-bot? That ban might be closer than I dreamed.

I think that's a default vBulletin setup. A lot of forums seem to have similar issues on certain spam-related words.

Andrew-R, just because someone else types it doesn't make it ok to quote. I thought this was supposed to be a family appropriate forum. How do you type a disappointed emoticon?

Use code tags when posting your VBA code:
Your code here
Remember, saying thanks only takes a second or two. Click the little star to give some Rep if you think an answer deserves it.
