As the Excel guru in my company, it falls to me to do mass mailers to our suppliers.
My latest mass mailer requests that our suppliers identify if any of the components they sell us have parts made in Russia.

One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
Good to see the net is being tightened in these sorts of ways. Every little helps.

It depends on the "honor system" but it is also a business decision.
My company is weaning itself from Chinese parts. The dollar value of the parts is usually cheaper than American parts but recent supply chain issues has exacerbated what was an already bad situation with lead times. Also what good are cheap parts that are of such poor quality that you have to spend money and time to fix them before you can use them. "Broke out of the box," I believe the expression.
Similar problems exist in Russian industry which has traditionally disdained environmental, safety and quality issues.
