How to set your profile picture?

Hello all

So I've been here for awhile and I'd like to set a profile picture instead of the default question mark image. But I still can't seem to find how to set my profile picture even after being here for over a year. Note that this is different from my profile avatar. I can't find anywhere in the User CP to update/edit/set a profile picture, and going through the FAQ has yielded no helpful information.

So I'll swallow my pride, and ask for help to relieve me of my ignorance regarding what (in my opinion) is a simple task.

Attached are two pictures. The first one is from my "About Me" page, where you can see my default profile pic and my avatar. The second one is from "About jeffreybrown" 's page (Sorry jeffrey! Don't mean to call you out, you're just a good example ). In jeffrey's page, he has a profile pic. I have no idea how to set my profile pic, so any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

In your User CP, along the left side and in the My Settings > My Profile grouping do you see "Edit Profile Picture"? I see Edit Profile, Edit Profile Picture, Edit Avatar, Edit Signature and Profile Privacy.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I do not have the "Edit Profile Picture" option. I have Edit Profile, Edit Avatar, Edit Signature, Profile Privacy.

My first thought after finding I was missing the option was that this may be a seniority thing, ie after so many posts and/or days as a member, you suddenly get that option. Do you know if that is the case?

Ah, disregard my previous post. In the Forum Rules, the last paragraph states:

Once you have been registered for 60 days and posted 100 posts your user title will change from Registered User to Forum Contributor, you will be able to upload a non-animated avatar. When you get to 120 days registered and 200 posts, your title will change to Valued Forum Contributor and you will be able to upload an animated avatar. When your title reaches Forum Guru you can upload a profile picture, we will leave you to wonder how long you have to be registered and how many posts for that!.

Since Jeffrey is a Moderator, he has access to add a profile picture. I don't even know the criteria (days/posts) for attaining Forum Guru status.

The criteria for Forum Guru is 23 months tenure and 1200 posts.

Yes, you'll make it to 1200 posts in no time at all, npam. Of course you'll have to stay/last long enough, too.
