    Blackpool

    @MartinW

    ...so how was Blackpool?
    Did you get the kiss me quick hat?

    Trust you didn't get lost north of Watford Gap. I realise it's 'there be monsters territory' for most southerners I know, but we do like to keep the North under our flat hats as much as possible for fear it might become overpopulated. And with over a third of the population within 75 minutes of somewhere like Buxton that's a real fear.

    Re: Blackpool

    just back,had a great time..i lost my wallet in the pleasure beach with around £100 in it and some €80 euros plus driving licence,bank cards etc. i was absolutely gob smacked when it was found and handed in within 40 minutes..restores your faith in human nature gave the bloke from the seafood stall a tenner as a thankyou. but really it wasn't even him who found it just another couple of blokes on a day out and they gave it to him!
    guest house was really friendly, and in my early 7am walks(im trying to loose a stone or 3) people said hello and even stopped for a chat,you don't often get that in london.

    Re: Blackpool

    You don't really need Euros in Blackpool you know, Martin - it is still part of the UK, so pounds Sterling are just fine !!

    Anyway, glad to hear you got your wallet back.
