Hello everyone,
I'm new here and I was curious if anyone else on this site was an actuary? If so, how often do you use VBA at work?

I work in insurance, about 10% of our actuaries are able to use VBA. There are some very clever chaps who use higher-end more tailored software. VBA/Excel is quite a funny niche, really, as soon as you want to get serious about data and programming you probably ought to change platform...

Ok that's good to know I appreciate the feedback. I'm looking to secure an entry level position after I pass my next exam, but in the mean time my current employer wants me to learn vba. I guess I'll just use vba as an intro to programming and progress to better platforms when I get to my next job.
You jest!?better platforms
