Saturday Night

Seems to me (just me?) that saturday nights are getting worse. from about 7:30 until 8:10 (est) all I could get when I tried to log on was

Database error
The database has encountered a problem.

Any1 else having these joys?

Same here...

Have the issue every weekend.

Yeah i have spoken to the tech team about this. They said they will get back to me soon regarding altering the schedule.

It seems that they have 7 of them!

As there are issues today again. Read a load of threads, then the forum hangs, when you finally get back on all the threads that one has read are not read!! If you get my drift.

(my work week is Wed - Sun, so i sometimes loose track)

so now, before I opst anything, I copy it, so that when the server drops me...again..I at least dont have to re-type everything

It's apears Friday afternoon

The forum backup timing has been revised to Sunday 3.00am IST. Lets check this for a couple of weeks and see if its posing any issues.

They are working on some fixes at the moment, hence the slight delay in page loads n responsiveness. It should be better soon.

Pete & John. The problem is that you don't have correct calendar..

What about sending the "tech team" on training courses, to learn tech team stuff!

I got in touch with the tech team and they said the server load was very high. Hence, the forum was slow.

Saturday night, Sunday morning, Tuesday morning, Wednesday, Friday morning ... the date and time seems to be blurring.

Are the Tech team on the job again? ... Seems they've hit the jackpot today: Server Error, Database Error and Duplicate posting.

Next, a Database error, which I commented on in this thread ... but it didn't get through, probably because of an Internal Server Error.

I think it's time to take the laptops off the techie boys and girls and sit them quietly in a corner with some crayons. Put a nice paper cloth on the table in case they scribble off the page of their colouring books ...

is a familiar scenario. Not overly so, but it's occurred a few times.

Also, I was unable to do anything on the site last night (I think it was shortly before midnight, maybe 11.40 or so) - couldn't open posts, refresh the index, etc etc. It's nowhere near enough to put me off visiting the site, but it would be great to get whatever issues are causing the disruption resolved.
