Government NSA Agent caught Redhanded eavesdropping on Cell Phone users.

Be fore warned, I regularly post drunk. So don't take offence (too much) to what I say.

The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships? motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day...

Funny! I find this topic to be somewhat paradoxical! They pass bills to listen to their people if they want to listen but yet their people cannot listen to them if they want to. I don't like the fact that governments want to control the people when in a democratic reality, the people should be controlling the government.

Yeah - Here in the U.S. we've had many referenda overturned by our Judges. We have no republic, we have no democracy. Now, in my later years, I've come to realize that it's all about cheap labor and control.

Are things better in Canada or in Japan??

Are things better in the "Upper US"
You'll have to excuse me as I dislike that.

As for being better, not really although I'm pretty sure they can't spy on us yet. In my later years (at 39) I've come to realize that all governments are controlled, to a certain extent, by corporate interests. That notion bothers me because business is only about the "bottom line" and maximizing profits, not necessarily people or our environments. Politicians help businesses to strip natural resources and demean cultures in the name of profits. It's all bullsh&t in my worthless opinion.

I say end the economic system we're currently a part of. This site, and other sites just like this, are a good indicator and proof that people will do what they love for free, in order to help others. We don't need money for that.

Well said Mordred - let me apologize for my poor taste (I edited that post)- I meant no offense (Three of my Grandparents were Canadian and one of my most cherished memories was riding the Winnipeg train).

The Government interference is more blatant than that - look at what happened to Broadcast TV and The Beta vs VHS travesty.

I guess I've expended my two cents. I've learned little and thought less.

No worries xladept, I'm not offended, we're just not Americans (yet?). I'm not familiar with the beta vs vhs travesty. I remember them both and we had a beta machine before the vhs. They way my young mind (at the time) understood it was that vhs was cheaper to make, cheaper to sell, & cheaper to buy. I may have to Google that though.

Actually, those attributes belonged to the Beta and the Beta had less moving parts.

    Do you remember that Dave??

If I remember correctly, Beta tapes were better quality wise compared to VHS. LoL, all seems moot now considering all we need is a hard drive to watch a movie from, and the quality puts Beta to shame.
