Third Party Tool to produce reports on multiple Excel files

Does anyone know of any third party products that can collate information from multiple Excel files and produce a report?

The Excel files will all have the same format, multiple sheets, and the data to be collated could come from one or several of the sheets.

The files will be stored in a folder/sub-folder structure, the depth of which could depend on the end user.

Files may need to be included/excluded depending on the file name and/or file/cell content.

I have written a reporting tool to do this but I'm looking to see if there is a purpose built application that may do it better, or more quickly, or more efficiently, or with more flexibility, or all of the above.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks, TMS

I haven't seen anything of the sort although that means nothing. Maybe you should try making one and selling it. I'm sure a userform to set up reporting ranges with workbook names could gather enough information to generate a report. Multiple templates would be a plus too. Hmm, that's a good idea TMS!

Thanks Mordred. I am not aware of anything either but I thought I'd ask the question.

What I have written is parameter driven to a large extent but it is also fairly user specific ... could be adapted, maybe.

    Cheers

Nice idea TMS. Maybe like what Mordred says, have a userform with various dropdowns considering all the parameters that would be needed.

It may sell like hot cakes
