It's an art to simply asking a question without poking a stick at the same time.
Confession - at work I am great asking the simple question. Around my family, not so much, I get accused of this very thing all the time. So perhaps it's a sign of "familiarity". So you doing it here is possibly a sign of "family", woohoo!
