    How many attached files are there?

    Just curious...

    How many files have been attached to posts?

    I imagine the number is very large.

    Is it possible that managing all these files causes some site performance issues?

    What site performance issues are you experiencing, Tony? Everything seems to be fine here on my iPad over a mobile phone network (so not the fastest connection).

    None right at this moment but the site is "notorious" for performance problems.

    Speaking to the original question, the files aren't actually part of the posts themselves. They are merely links to the files where they are stored enmasse elsewhere on the server. The in-post link has no effect on the speed of the individual posts loading.

    It's got to be 10s of thousands. Maybe even >100k.

    No, that information is not available in the Admin Control Panel nor the Moderator Control Panel.
