[Tip]: Conditional Formatting Highlight cells with formulas

Hi All

Felt the need to share. I often work on large sheets with lots of data and many formulas. To reduce calc time I often replace formulas with values but leave the formulas in the first row for refreshing purposes.
Recently I found it useful to use conditional formatting to highlight cells with formulas.

Select the data portion of the sheet, say A2:Z50
Add CF rule
Formatting based on formula
Formula: =isformula(a2)
Select the highlight colour required.

Hope this is helpful for someone.
Ron

Useful to know, thanks for sharing

On a side note - please update your profile as necessary to properly reflect the exact version(s) of Excel your question relates to. Members tailor answers based on your Excel version. Your profile says 2010, but I believe =isformula() is only available in later versions?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
