I've been creating a complete overhaul of an set of audit workpapers and MsWord report with a number of linked charts in the Word (2007) report.

Now I have been recently told my Company is switching to Office 2013, and we will roll out the new workpapers/files as part of that conversion. So I've started doing some testing within a Virtual Machine and Office 2013 in preparing.

My issue/question is that in Office 2007 when ever I right click any chart, I am given the option to 'Update Link', even if that link is to a broken source.

In my early testing on 2013, when I right click any chart, I do not get the option to 'Update Link'. But I think I do get that option back after I change the source? Currently I do an Alt-F9 and copy/replace all sources.

It also seems much slower in loading the Word document after the links are updated even with auto-update turned off. But that could be Virtual Machine issue. I need to try and get some more memory allocated to the VM.

Any help is appreciated as I work to prepare my staff for this change.

Thanks
