    Copying a rule

I'd like to have the highest and lowest values in a row be a different colour than the rest of the cells. This is a simple conditional formatting issue when there is only one line. The problem is I want to do it for many rows but if I select all the rows to make the rule it only gives the highest and lowest of the whole selection. Is there a way to copy a rule, or create a rule shortcut so I can apply the rule to each row?

    Thanks

Is this a question about Word or Excel?

    Re: Copying a rule

Here's how I would do it:

Select Sheet1!A1, and in the Names box, left of the formula bar, enter Sheet1!Me

Select Sheet1 row 1, and in the Names box, enter Sheet1!myRow

Select the cells of interest, CF > Use a formula,

    =(Me=MIN(myRow)) + (Me=MAX(myRow))

    Row\Col
    A
    B
    C
