How do I prevent Word from moving text when I drag a picture over it?

I have a table of 1" x 1" cells. Each cell has a single word that is aligned to center. I want to place a partially transparent 1" x 1" picture directly on top of the text. However, even with "Wrap Text" set to "In Front Of Text", the text is moving around as I try to position the picture over it. How do I stop this from happening?

    Thanks,

Since your question is about Word, you might try posting it on a Word forum. I see what you mean, but don't have answer.

I am unable to replicate the problem when the wrap format is set to either 'in front of text' or 'behind text'; in either case, the text doesn't move.

After creating a table with the properties that you describe, I inserted a picture and right clicked on it and chose Size and Position from the menu. I resized the picture to be small enough to be moved about. On the Position tab, I chose relative for all choices but didn't give any values. In the options area, I deselected everything. On the Text Wrapping tab, behind text was selected. Moving the picture to any desired position had no effect on the text.
