    Data Formatting

I am consolidating a few years worth of scheduling data where one column represents a customer and the adjacent cell represents a service provided. The number of customers and service change each day. I would like to format the entire document to show one customer per line.

Currently I use Control "F" to find an individual customer, then I use the replace fxn to add in a color fill. I then look for the color that represents a customer on a given day and copy and paste both the customer and the service into the appropriate day of the year.

This is using a huge amount of resources and is very time consuming. Is there a better way to sort the data for a customer and service without moving it from the appropriate date and showing blanks where no service was performed on a given day?

    Re: Data Formatting

    Just a few quick questions:

Why are you using Word as a 'Data Bank' instead of Excel ?

Or was this already done in Excel prior to importing into Word ?

Could you paste the Data into Excel, do what you need to do for every customer and then Export back into Word

    Re: Data Formatting

Actually, I believe I posted this in the wrong thread. All of the data is in excel and not word. Ill delete this post and move it to where it belongs.

    Thanks
