The performance of a heavy Microsoft word document is very low and ends with not respondin

The performance of a heavy Microsoft word document is very low and ends with "not responding" message,
The performance of Word document of 122 pages and 167000 words is very low (3 columns of 20000 records), and ends with "not responding" message, what might be the issue here?

Evidently, you're using a Word table. Word doesn't perform well with large tables, which yours is (140,000 cells). Turning off the table's 'automatically resize to fit contents' setting may help, as may giving the rows a suitable 'exact' size.

    Hi Majdoleen,
the symptoms you describe (slow, not responding) looks very much like I've beeen encountering when moving to Office 2016.
In my case the symptoms showed with excel workbooks.
Office 2016 takes more memory than previous versions and - in my opinion - is less stable. In my case increasing the memory solved the issue.
But then again your document is really big and the usage would suggest to be more suitable for Excel. So moving to Excel may also be something to consider.
    Cheers!
    Tsjallie
