Need way to get data into Text Form Fields that does not require double click befor typing

Had a new contract form at work where the name of the client entering into the contract is in 16 places so I created my first Text Form Field / Cross Reference document in Word. Problem - not everyone is remembering every time to double click before entering data in Text Form Fields. What are the work around for this problem?

There should be no need to double-click anything. Did you apply 'filling in forms' protection to the document?
