    Problems with mail merge

I am using 365. I am using Excel linked into Publisher for a mail merge. Publisher keeps displaying one label on the whole page. I have clicked on finish and merge with no success. It will print one whole page of labels for each person. I just want one label for each person.

    Re: Problems with mail merge

A label merge in Publisher using a labels template outputs a separate label per record. For printing, you need to send the output to a new publication then choose the 'multiple pages per sheet' print option.

In the Middle Initial entry for each recipient that contains a Middile Initial, add a space, by pressing the space bar, before and after the initial.

Perhaps you could enlighten us as to what your post has to do with the thread's topic?

As for what you say, messing around with the source data is generally undesirable, as it affects other uses of the data, too, and is often not possible. And such manipulations can't be done in the mailmerge main document itself, since a new publication is output for each record and a change made to the label thus affects all records. Moreover, inserting spaces before and after the initial would result in a pair of spaces before or after it, depending on where the 'normal' space between the names in the mailmerge main document is located in relation to the initial field.
