Ms Word make an extra copy of the table I have linked from Excel

Hi,

I have linked a table from Excel to Word. I was working on both the Word and Excel simultaneously. Whenever I go back to the Excel sheet, Word will automatically make an extra copy of the table that I have linked in Excel. Why this happens and how to solve this?

The answer seems to be inherent in your problem description: don't try to work on both the linked object and the Excel workbook itself at the same time...
