I have (inherited) a word document that was previously created prior to Word 2007 as an xxxxx.doc file format. My company has since upgraded to Office 365 and the word document has been upgraded as well.
Now, I'm not certain if this an upgrade or other issue, but I am continually getting an OLE action error when trying to open the embedded files. I also had about half of them convert to pictures when letting Word upgrade the file.
I know excel is opening in the background when trying to open the embedded tables, and I have ensure there are no Excel Addins running that could potentially cause an issue, but I can't seem to locate what could be causing OLE action error. No other instances of excel or word are running.
Any one have any thoughts on what would cause an OLE action error when trying to open an embedded Excel Table?
