I need to move a few pages from one Word document to another. The format from Doc A is different than the format in Doc B. If it were PowerPoint I could just move a slide from doc to doc but with Word, I can't. When I highlight all on the page and past to the new document, all the formatting, background fills, page layout, spacing, etc. gets whacked. Is there an easy way to perform this page to doc swap that I'm not aware of?

There are many factors to be taken into account when combining content from different documents, including differences in page format & layout, differences in Style definitions underlying the content, and so on. You can control some of this (though not differences in page format & layout) via the settings under File|Options|Advanced>Cut, copy, and paste>pasting between documents, and File|Options|Advanced>Cut, copy, and paste>pasting between documents when Style definitions conflict.
