Mail Merge SKIPIF and Strange Merge Behavior

I am using Excel and Word 365 from my laptop (Windows 10). The label sheet I am using is Avery 5136.

What is the correct method for inserting the SKIPIF function for a merge field?

This is what I have been using:

Occassionally, the merge data from Excel flows into the margins of the label sheet.

The data will merge correctly then, after several tests, Word will state there is no data to merge.

    Ideas please?

If you are to use a SKIPIF field to exclude certain records, you'd insert one once, at the top of the mailmerge main document. Using a SKIPIF field will not affect the layout of the output; if something is awry, it's due to other problems with your mailmerge main document and/or the data source.

You are correct! On the top and only once.

    Thank you Paul
