    Remove watermark

My document has "Draft" as a watermark. If I select DESIGN, WATERMARK, REMOVE WATERMARK - the watermark is not removed. It does not appear to be part of header?
Please advise & thanks in advance.

    Re: Remove watermark

It's possible that the "Draft" watermark is not part of the header and therefore cannot be removed using the standard header tools in Microsoft Word. One thing you can try is to check if the watermark is a background image.

To do this, right-click on the watermark and select "Format Picture" from the drop-down menu. Then, select the "Layout & Properties" tab and check if the "Behind text" option is selected. If it is, then the watermark is a background image and you can remove it by selecting "No fill" under the "Fill" options.

If the watermark is not a background image and you still cannot remove it using the header tools or the method above, you can try copying all the content from the document and pasting it into a new document. This should remove any formatting or elements that are causing the watermark to persist.

Did you even bother to read the replies, which clearly show the OP's problem was solved 6 months ago? That being so, your reply is quite redundant.

No, they didn't. I am watching this member, as they are posting redundant messages in other threads. They are most likely a spammer and will be banned from here if they continue in this manner.

… as they are posting redundant messages in other threads.
To be fair, they are quite detailed "redundant messages". In fact, one is the only response (so far) to a new and complex question: https://www.excelforum.com/word-form...ml#post5809007

That said, it does seem odd to be replying to the older threads that have solutions posted. I can understand macropod's annoyance when he has provided a brilliant VBA solution to one question. Interestingly, there appear to be big gaps in that thread and the OP never marked it as Solved: https://www.excelforum.com/word-form...ml#post5809009

    Re: Remove watermark

Trevor - I have seen this type of build-up before. I would not say such things unless I had prior experience of it. The member in question will either disappear now they know we're on to them or continue until they are able to attempt to post a SPAM or PHISHING link, either directly in a post, or in a signature line. Hopefully they will save us the bother an not post here again.

@Ali: not doubting your experience or your concerns. And I am sure you are right. Just intrigued at the level of detail; that seems unusual. But anyway, last comment from me

Last comment from me: no, it's not unusual, but such posts have usually been deleted by a mod before many people see them.
