I need to change to "Arial" font.

If i change font i lose the text column alignement.

You would need to add some tables. I have demonstrated this in the middle of the document.

Not strictly necessary. A similar result could be achieved by replacing the repeated spaces with tabs and the judicious use of tab stops.

    Fair comment.

I have done it both ways in the past, so I can't argue the point. Just have a feeling that tables might cope better with changing (increasing) font sizes.

Given there were some many views and no replies, I just wanted to offer a suggestion.

With the data in the test file, I suspect it will be a pain however it is approached.

The following macro will do a fair job of maintaining the content alignment when the font is changed from fixed-width to proportional. It does so by replacing spaces with tabs.

Why not to copy the text and paste without formatting? It may help

Clearly you didn't try it or you would know that what you'd get that way is entirely dependent on the font of whatever you paste it into. That is not what the OP asked about, which concerned column alignments when changing between Courier New and Arial.
