Creating/importing multiple entries for dropdown list at once

    Hello,

When using the Developer objects. When working with dropdown entries. Is there a way to import or paste multiple entries at once?

For instance when I have a list database, which might get updated over time, and I could then paste the new updated list?

Or if I wanna reuse the list in a different document.

Thanks, will certainly look at it.

But was wondering if there is a way without VBA. As technically there's no need for a live connection to a file.

The list database file is stored externally. I was hoping there was a way just to copy and paste a list instead doing 1 entry at a time.

Not possible without some kind of programming.

There is no need to mainstain a 'live' connection to the source. The code in the link explains one way of not doing that. Another is to simply give the macro another name altogether.

Indeed, if you were to add the code to a docx file, then run the macro and re-save the file in the docx format, the populated dropdown will be saved and the macro deleted.
