landscape and letter orientation same doc?

How or can I select specific pages in my document to be letter and others landscape orientation?

You will need to use a section break, under the insert menu.
Under the section break options choose next page, then under the file menu, choose page set up.

On the tabs along the top you have an paper size, click on this and choose the landscape option.
