    Printing Doc w/o Tracked Changes

Hi. Many times I need to print many Word Documents at once - thus, I like to select the bunch of documents and use the right-click print method so I don't have to open up and print each document one-by-one.
However, I'm running into this problem - the tracked changes/mark-ups are printing. Besides opening up each doc one-by-one and clicking "Accept all changes" on each doc, is there anyway I can print many docs at once without it printing the mark-ups/tracked changes?

    Thanks!

    Hi silvrwoman,

You could set Word's display option to 'Final' on the 'Review' tab.

Yes, but I'd have to do that with each document, right? Is there anyway to set that option as default so I don't have to open each document to print a bunch? Thanks!

    Hi silvrwoman,

If you add the following code to your Normal template's 'ThisDocument' module, all documents will open in the 'Final' view

Actually, I thought it was working but now it's saying "Run-time error '91': Object variable or With block variable not set

What line is highlighted when you get that error? Is it coded exactly the same as what I posted? Have you tried re-starting Word?

"With ActiveWindow.View" is highlighted. I've copied and pasted exactly what you posted. Yes, I've tried restarting Word. I have Word 2007 if that makes a difference.

Thanks again - I appreciate all your help with this.

Re: Printing Doc w/o Tracked Changes

    Hi silvrwoman,

I'm unable to reproduce that error. The code works fine in both Word 2003 & 2010, so it should work in 2007. It would indeed be extraordinary for a sub to fail on the 'With ActiveWindow.View' line in any version. I've used it in the past for Word 2000 & 2007 also.

This all seems to suggest there's a fault in your Word installation. Perhaps a repair (Word Options|Resources|Diagnose) will help.
