How to insert a Θ topped with a ^?

Dear all,

I usually wander around at the Excel VBA part of this forum, but now I have a very basic Word (2010) problem:

I need to insert a Θ with a ^ above it in my text but I can't seem to find it anywhere in my symbol-sets. The Greek and Coptic set only contains the normal Θ (duh! no surprise) and the extended Greek set does contain many Greek letters with all kinds of things hovering over them, but...no Θ with a ^.

Since this symbol is used in a statistical context (to indicate a value derived from 'regular Θ') I also checked the mathematical symbols, but no luck there either (or in any of the remaining sets, because...hey, I was starting to get desperate, so I checked them all).

So does anybody know of an additional symbol set for Word 2010 which does contain Θ with a ^ or does anybody know a nice trick such as an 'oldfashioned' ALT-combo to get this done (you know, like typing ALT+233 gives you Θ)?

you can do it by insert/equation/insert new equation
then you should be in design
select "accent" in the window that opens the 4th one top row looks like a box with^ on top
select that
now click in the tiny box to edit it
type Θ click away from symbol
thats it

Thanks, this works like a charm.
I must say thoug that I am kind of grateful that I only need to insert this in 2 places in my text because to me it feels like a bit of a roundabout solution...you would think that the people at Microsoft would be so kind as to include this as a symbol, but...oh well...

This is standard in Office for writing scientific formulas and equations, but it seems that office 2013 has provided more options (e.g. you can put the 'hat' to the right, left or center). You can always write in another program, save the equation as in image, and then import it into word.

In all Word versions, you could use an EQ field, coded as:
{EQ \o (^,Θ)}
Note: The field brace pairs (ie '{ }') for the above example are created in the body of the document via Ctrl-F9 (Cmd-F9 on a Mac) - you can't simply type them or copy & paste them from this message. For the '^', you'll need to increase its point size to around 1.5 times the base font.
