    Replacing outline numbered items with previous word in bold

    This is some text from OCR, sample attached.

    It has a headword in bold, and below it there are subentries which include the headword with the first letter of the headword + full stop + remaining words.

    These subentries are styled with outline numbering (using the "-" character) and/or the actual "-" character.

    What I want to do, is to replace these subentries with the full headword, i.e.

    accommodation χτέωβχη # βόιεμβ # εξυοηύέτηχη
    - a. collar χύιιηψη ωιβ ιόωουχ ωοήτύου (τηχ βχτυνομίβχ)
    - a. house οούνείο, μοούντέιιο

    Should become

    accommodation χτέωβχη # βόιεμβ # εξυοηύέτηχη
    accommodation collar χύιιηψη ωιβ ιόωουχ ωοήτύου (τηχ βχτυνομίβχ)
    accommodation house οούνείο, μοούντέιιο

    Your data would be much easier to code for if you provided a truly representative sample. So far, all of the problems have stemmed from the fact that representative is one thing your sample data aren't! Try:
