hi guys,
i had a problem to make labels for my students.I make the labels manually by typing the numbers one- by-one.is there any macro that can make the changing easily.example : it started with P001 and so on...then i want to make other labels such as M001 in the same file document.please help.

in word goto to VBE (ALT+F11) open immediate window (CTRL+G)

I just tried it on your document and it worked as expected.
What happpens when you execute the command? Do you get any error message.
The attached has the code in a macro.
Open the document and enable macros.
ALT+F8 to display macro dialog. Run Test macro.
Enter required prefix
