Generating Word .doc files with data from Excel

    Hello!

I wonder if it would be possible to create a command that would generate word files using a template and data from particular row?
I have large tables where each row contains data for one subject and I'd like to create " a button" or any other solution that would generate me a .doc file using the template and filling the fields with table data.

I am posting a screenshot that illustrates the problem.

I am looking for general directions and advises for learning how to accomplish that, if anyone knows. Thanks in advance!

Have you considered using Word's mailmerge tools and/or its DATABASE field? If neither of those approaches is suitable, you should consider creating a Word template with bookmarks, content controls and/or tables, as appropriate, to receive the Excel data and populate them via a macro. For example:

    Hi macropod,

I didn't because I have never done anything like it so I didn't even know which technique to use. I'll look into mentioned mailmerge tools and it's database field. If it doesn't work, I'll look into macros as posted in your example.

    Thanks for the reply.
