    shapes and inlineshapes and automatically formatting images within word documents

    Hi Guys,


    I'm looking to make a macro that takes an image within a word document and formats it to specified:
    solid border
    border width
    border colour
    image height
    image width
    inline with text (this could be a problem as the object would be changing from one type to another within the macro
    centred (justified)


    I've found out that "shapes" and "inlineshapes" are different different objects in word, and its very annoying.

    I want something that will search through all the objects in the word document and apply the above stylistic changes regardless if its a shape or an inlineshape. I was hoping something like the follow would work:

    Hi guys,

    This is also related to the same project i am working on.

    Is there a way with word vba for "selection", similar to excel vba selection?

    I don't understand why you're hung up over the differentiation between floating and inline shapes. After all, they don't have all the same properties. InlineShapes, for example, can't be centered in their own right.
