Inserting data from table in Word template and create wod/pdf documents

Hello, me again with problem of the day.

I have a word document that I manually update with info from 3 linked tables in Access where I change some text and pictures (basically a diploma with recipients name, name of award and picture of it, a citation and date and lastly a serial no (which is also the file name of the exported pdf).
I've looked around and haven't found anything that I've understood or seems to help, but surely this task should be possible to automate in some way by taking the queried data and inserting at appropriate places in the document and save (preferably using the serial no as name and in pdf format).
All the linking info I find seems to be for excel (not good for the picture content) and involves email addresses and similar.

If anyone know how to solve this and give me a step by step or at least general guide on how to do it I would be a very happy camper!

I can think of two solutions to this.
    1. In word build a merge that takes the data from your queries and imports them into your word document.

    2. The other solution involves doing it all in Access. Look at this video on how to do that.

Good luck with whichever one you choose.

Thank you I figured it out and it works (almost).
One caveat.. for some reason the last line of my template containing one of the inserted data bits ends up top of next page every time I run the merge despite everything looking good on the preview. I can't figure out why this keeps happening.

You might want to reset the margins and see if that helps.

Mailmerge previews don't reliably reflect the merged layout. What you may have happening is a combination of one of your mergefields causing a line wrap and the use of empty paragraphs below it to space the content out. To avoid this, you should consider using a multi-row borderless table with sufficient row heights for the variable data to wrap without affecting vertical positioning of the rows below.
