    Dot(.) VS Bang(!)

I know there are lots of people who come here and are new to Access and VBA. With that in mind I figured I would mention this topic, as not long ago I saw no difference.

This is a big discussion really, some people say Bang(!) is faster then Dot(.), but I figured I would show you one of the most basic differences.

Lets say I have a form called Order Details. In order to use the top one "Dot(.)" there would have to be a field on the form called "Quantity". By using the "Bang(!)" if there is a field in the attached recordset it will update it.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. Just thought I would share.
