Access linked to excel produces starnge decimal numbers

I have data in Access that feeds an excel spreadsheet and I create a pivot table from that spreadhseet. every now and then a have a dollar amount that pulls in a (0.00) and when I extend the decimal range it looks like (0.000000145665) but when I go back to the data there are are only numbers that in the hundredths place i.e. 1.630000000000000000 so there is nothing after the hundredths place. Why is this happening and is there a simple fix?

    Thanks

I've gotten this too. (stupid XL)
If you dont need that biga decimal, I would convert it to currency (4 decimals) and just use that result.
But if you need more, use a rounding method. ( num * 1000, turncate, num / 1000

Before I format the number it appears as (0) then I go to the Home tab and under Number I click the small drop down arrow in the right corner and I create a custom format and I select #,##0_);(#,##0)and then I apply ;-. If a zero is in that cell it appears as a -. Unfortunately for my purposes I need it to either show a number rounded to one or show a - I cannot have a (0) appear in the cells.
