    Data refreshing

    Hello,
I have question about data refreshing. I want to refresh data and substract the values, the one which was there before and one which is now.
I hope you understand me, English is not first language.

I'm not sure is this possible to do.

    Thank you in advance. :D

    Deleted.

Sorry - didn't realise this was an Access query!

Can you be more specific. Are you referring to Tables? Queries? Please provide a more detailed description of your issue. Not enough information to provide you with an answer.

    Re: Data refreshing

It's a table, I want to substract the old value from the new, imported, value in the next empty column. Is that possible ?

    A
    10

    When I import the file:

    A B
    13 3

    Re: Data refreshing

Join your two tables in a query. Add a new field to the query and run your calculation (called an expression in Access) in the query. Calculations should not be done in Tables. This is contrary to the basic concepts of database management systems.
