sorting

how can i sort numbers shown below

111-1
111-2
111-3
111-4
111-5
111-6
111-7
111-8
111-9
111-10
111-11
111-12
111-13
111-14

when i sort it in a column it shows
111-1
111-10
111-11
etc...................

can someone please help

Just add a 0 before 1st 9 entries as follows :

111-01
111-02
111-03
111-04
111-05
111-06
111-07
111-08
111-09

This will solve your problem.

You need to change the first 9 numbers so either they have a space immediately after the hyphen or a zero, then you should be able to sort them.
