Spreadhseet Import to Table with Historical Data Check

Hi all,

Hoping for some help as I've been working on this problem for a few days now and think I've got tunnel vision and can't see the wood for the tree's now.

We have a process where outgoing post is recorded in a manual spread sheet, overnight I import this sheet into an access table that we use for reporting, where the count does not our statements the data is often 'corrected' so I need to go back and update the erroneous data, in essence I'm potentially re-important the same data + one day each and every night.

I have been trying to speed up the process by putting in checks, and lookups so that I'm only entering new data or amending one field if there's a change to the spreadsheet data.

I have attached an example data entry sheet that I import and some sample data to illustrate the access table once the process is complete, I can't see m to find a quick way of doing this, everything I've thus far has taken literally hours so I know I'm doing it wrong, but can't quite work out the right way.

I have also attached the code I'm tinkering with in a text file as it triggered a SQL injection warning (I think form our firewall) when I attempted to paste into the body of this request.

NOTE: I am developing a data capture form but due to various other business departments having an input, its going to take a while to get this agreed and signed off. I should also note I'm very late to the Access party as I initially hated it, but now realise how powerful it can be and that my hatred came from not understanding it properly so I'm catching up.
