Manually creating a split DB vs Auto splitting a complete file

    Hi,

Looking at creating a DB with a frontend and backend and I want to create the back end then just create the front end file myself.
Everything I've seen seems to refer to a complete file and then splitting in two.

If I just manually link to the back end is all good or do I need consider anything else that the auto split process would perform for me?
Rather find out now about any potential issues before I discover them later on in the build.

    Thanks

In your mind what would be the advantage of doing what you are proposing. What will your front end look like that would be different from the suggested manner of splitting a db? In the words of a former boss, "if the system isn't broken, then why try to break it?"

Still working on the tables at the moment and figured it makes sense to just create the front end file aand link to the back.

Dont see the point in splitting it later on when i can just do it now. Tested a copy and doesnt seem like it causes any issues so I am just going roll with it.

I am happy that I can split from the start so will mark as solved
