Access as a backend - prevent direct user access

Hello,

I use Access as a backend that is on the server. Users have front end clients which connects to it but there is nothing to stop them opening the folder where the Access file is stored. It has a password but they could just delete it.

The front ends are a mix of Office files but also some VB programs.

Is there a way to allow front ends to access, but prevent users from going there directly?

If not what would be a solution that would allow this?
