Preventing accidental change of a check box

I like the Yes/No column format. But I've found that it is very easy to inadvertantly change the value of a checkbox just by an accidental click of the mouse. Is there anyway to change the behaviour of the checkbox from single click to double click? Or is there some other way to prevent accidental changes?
